William Housty

Like all other coastal First Nations the Heiltsuk have been depending on food from the ocean like the herring. Herring has been a very important staple, not just as a nutritious food, but also for ceremonial purposes. William Housty is a young leader in the Heiltsuk community, who goes out to fish and harvest for his wider family and the community.
